This is a sensational new band featuring the finest players in the north. Saxophonics features four of the regions top professional saxophonists playing newly composed and arranged compositions. 14.00 Paul Edis Trio Combined influence of Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, Thelonious Monk and many other jazz heroes can be detected in pianist Paul Edis’ performances. Paul has played at the 100 Club in London, gigs with Mark Nightingale, Steve Waterman and Alan Barnes.13.00 Noel Dennis Quartet Led by one of the region’s most popular trumpet and flugelhorn players Noel, and featuring the amazing talents of his younger brother Adam on piano. Performing a set comprising jazz standards and original compositions.12.00 Ruth Lambert Quintet Accomplished and versatile jazz singer equally at home in front of a big band as she is here with her quintet. Ruth has an impressive repertoire of standards from the great American songbook.
